Matagorda Harbor is a 60 acre complex located on the north side of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at Mile Marker 440 WHL. The facility offers four paved boat ramps free to the public, a premiere fish cleaning station, a tournament pavilion, baitshop, fuel dock, restaurant, public restrooms, and a RV park. We offer boat slips for vessels from 16′ to 100′ for nightly, weekly, or monthly rental.

Welcome to Matagorda Harbor.

Our slips are fully-equipped, covered slips with powered lifts, 120-volt receptacles, an individual water spigot, an individual light, and individual lockable dock boxes. The slips are for outboard or I/O boats. The boat houses have secure locked gates, and access to the harbor parking lot is controlled by an electronic gate.

The Dockmaster office is located directly across from the transient dock. Transient boats may check in here or at the Harbormaster office.

We have 40-foot and 50-foot covered wet slips.

Trailer storage is provided at no additional charge. Stored trailers must be labeled with owner’s name and the hitch must be locked.

We have 24-foot, 28-foot, and 34-foot covered slips with slings. Please call or e-mail for slip availability.

There are air conditioned restrooms with showers available to boat slip patrons. There is a small air conditioned meeting room and large open air pavilion that are available for use when scheduled through the Harbormaster.

There are 26 RV spaces. RV spaces are available only to Matagorda Harbor boat slip patrons.

Transient boats may use the slips on the large floating dock, closest to the parking lot marked “TRANSIENT”. Also, there are 8 power pedestals along the quay wall for transient use. All have 30 and 50 amp service and municipal water.

Matagorda Harbor is located on the Intracoastal Waterway at Texas mile 440 WHL. We have slips for approximately 260 pleasure boats.

We have a 25-foot, 40-foot and 50-foot uncovered wet slips on our floating docks.

Excellent trailer launching is available on four paved public boat ramps and free day use parking.

Our fish cleaning station has two stainless steel tables, water, and is adjacent to the courtesy dock.

Harbor Bait and Tackle provides bait, ice, fishing supplies and has gasoline and diesel for boats.

Our dockside tournament pavilion is available to host fishing tournaments and other activities. The fee is $300/day with a $500 Security deposit, both payable in advance. Use of the pavilion must be scheduled with the harbor master.

Waterfront Restaurant specializes in steaks, seafood, and burgers. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Approximately four miles from the harbor on FM 2031 (Beach Road) the Port of Bay City Authority maintains a Paddlesport Park at the head of Rudacell Slough that offers free parking and access into East Matagorda Bay for kayaks and paddle boards. Motorized craft are not allowed.

The harbor offers a new peristaltic pump out located in the corner in front of the restaurant. The pump out fee is $25. Contact harbor personnel to use the pump.
